With stricter environmental regulations at an all-time high, an increasing number of retailers are recognizing the importance of sustainability and the prioritization of natural refrigerants such as CO2, ammonia and propane as opposed to hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants, greenhouse gases with high global warming potential (GWP).

In collaboration with its member network, the NASRC works towards creating a sustainable future for supermarket refrigeration by removing potential service readiness and cost barriers to natural refrigerant adoption. Some works include improving technology options and awareness, increasing workforce recruiting and training opportunities and supporting with funding.

By joining the NASRC at the greatest level as a Titanium member, CBES underscores its strong commitment to building a more sustainable future and collectively driving progress for the industry.

“CBES’s decision to join NASRC at the highest level demonstrates their strong alignment with our mission and commitment to driving progress for the supermarket industry,” said Danielle Wright, NASRC executive director. “We’re thrilled to have them on board and look forward to leveraging their expertise for positive change.”
